Joe Hession is the founder and CEO of SNOW Partners, a visionary leader in the winter sports and outdoor recreation industry with more than 30 years of hands-on resort management experience. A lifelong advocate for innovation and process excellence, Joe has become a respected authority in guest experience design, operational efficiency, and resort leadership fueled by his experience as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. His entrepreneurial spirit has led to the creation and growth of some of the most forward-thinking entities in the snowsports space, including Mountain Creek Resort, Big SNOW American Dream—the first indoor, year-round ski and snowboard facility in North America—and SnowCloud, a resort management platform built on insights gained from hundreds of resort partners and the real-world experience of SNOW Partners’ own managed businesses.
Beyond business, Joe’s deep care for people is evident in his founding of The Hession Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to enriching lives and communities through access to outdoor recreation and support for youth and families. Joe has delivered various keynotes at global industry events, and his leadership has been recognized in major media outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Today Show. Joe also proudly serves as an ambassador for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard teams, and contributes his expertise as a board member of both the National Ski Areas Association and the New Jersey Golf Foundation. Outside of his professional achievements, Joe finds joy and purpose in family life with his wife Halley and their three sons—Miles, and twins Oliver and Trey. A passionate skier and avid golfer, Joe’s love of the outdoors fuels his mission to inspire others to connect with nature, pursue adventure, and build lasting memories together.
